Komen Foundation Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker issued a statement (full text below) today indicating that the foundation is now standing firm on it’s February 3 decision to restore funding for abortion industry kingpin Planned Parenthood. Washington, D.C. – The Center for Security Policy has released their “Defense Breakdown Economic Impact Reports,” a collection of 2,750 online detailed reports and 51 Summary Reports presenting a “National Average” estimated economic impact from projected defense cuts, for cities, counties, states and territories.

The Center launched the reports in advance of the February 13, 2012 release of the Obama administration’s 2013 defense budget.  The purpose of the “Defense Breakdown Economic Impact Reports” is to help citizens, local businesses and their employees, and local governments prepare for the economic impact of these probable defense cuts under the Budget Control Act of 2011 and the sequestration mechanism.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has announced that it will hear oral argument in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 20, 2012, in an appeal challenging the AIG bailout.  The case, which is captioned Murray v. United States Department of Treasury, et al., was brought by American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) attorneys David Yerushalmi and Robert Muise, representing the plaintiff, Kevin Murray, a taxpayer and former combat Marine who served in Iraq.  The federal lawsuit alleges that the U.S. government’s takeover and financial bailout of AIG was in violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.
